I've researched this book for weeks and read lots of great reviews. It was amazing how many people had such great things to say about this particular book. So I went on amazon.com and got it for a reasonable price. She breaks the book down in depth within each chapter. She gets straight to the point on techniques to do, products to use and with simple instructions that an amateur can follow along with.
CHAPTER ONE: Essentials
She let it be known exactly what you should have in your kit and what's most important for a MUA to have no matter what. On that note, an artist should always have BRUSHES, yes I repeat BRUSHES. That's because to do the right makeup, you need the right makeup tools. That's why, when it comes to makeup, you really are only as good as the tools you use!

*DO NOT moisturise your lids

Step 2: Use a toner
Step 3: Moisturise or use a primer, but remeber, you don't need both. (And make sure at least one has sunscreen)
Eye Prepping
Step 1: Cleanse your lids with a water-based cleaner.
*DO NOT moisturise your lids afterwards
Step 2: Apply some foundation to your lid to knock out the blue-red tones.
Step 3: Lightly powder your eyelids with translucent powder. ( You can do this with a cotton pad)
CHAPTER THREE: Eyebrows
"When it comes to facial features, little has more power and impact than the shape of your brows."
-Rae Morris
The Perfect Brow
The easiest way to achieve a footproof brow is to follow a few small rules and three long lines.
Step 1: Everyone has different-sized nostrils and noses, so your imaginary line must follow the natural line of the outer bridge of your nose. Got it? That is where your first brow hairs need to start! Then you can de-mono-brow all you like on the other side of this line.
Step 2: Now, from that bridge line, draw another line that passes along the outer rim of your pupil and upwards. This is the highest point of any arch or height of the brow. This incline should smoothly follow the natural shape of your own brow. It's important to note that the arch isn't in the centreof the brow--it is very off centre, making the eye longer, sexier and with no "surprised" look!
Step 3: Finally, again, from the bridge line draw a line to the outer corner of your eye. This is where your brow should end.
CHAPTER FOUR: Lashes
Applying false eyelashes
The power of Lashes
Dramatically change your makeup look or even your eye shape from lashes

High-impact Lashes

CHAPTER SEVEN: Asian Eyes
Asian eyes are different to that of Western eyes, so you approach them differently when applying makeup.
Here are tips for Asian eyes
- False lashes are you new best friend.
- Own an eyelash curler
- Always define the brow
- Consider lightening the brow to make the overall look smoother
